C34 - Keep The Saws Running
classroom / sunday may 14 am / 2 hours
How often do we give our fire service saws a detailed inspection and cleaning? It's something simple but is it apart of your departments training? Working part time for a small engine repair shop I brought back knowledge and the ability to repair equipment in house preventing extensive repairs and down time. This class shares that information and the basics on how to break down, inspect, and clean chainsaws/rotary saws to keep them on the rigs instead of the shop. Saw 101 is now part of the Truckie-Talk truck ops curriculum because of the positive feedback from the students. Since then, Keep the Saws Running was turned into an article and published by FDTN and Firefighter Basics.
