h08 - making the attack

hands on / Friday may 12 am / 4 hours / turnouts and SCBA required

The ability to deploy, move, and flow a hand line is often taken for granted.  Today’s fire ground requires getting water on the fire quickly, coupled with flows that overwhelm the fire.  In this fast paced hands-on class the student’s previous training will be challenged as they expand their ability to operate hand lines with confidence.  Using the latest scientific data available coupled with sound fundamental skills the student will leave this class with the confidence in their ability to take the attack to the fire.  The student will develop a skill set that allows them to focus on fighting the fire not the hose.  To accomplish this the student will learn techniques of nozzle control, hose management, and moving while flowing (we will move a flowing 2 ½ with just two people but do not tell anybody they will not believe you).  If you’re looking to expand your skill set in hose management and fire attack this will be a class you will not want to miss.
