I Made the Grab. Now What?

This course is designed to provide education and hands on training to Firefighter/EMT's and
Firefighter Paramedics on the different types of medical and trauma patients that may be
encountered during structure fires. Personnel will discuss the importance of locating victims,
victim removal, and treatment of victims on the fire scene. Classroom segment will provide an
overview of firefighter and civilian statistics at fire scenes, patient injuries, medical conditions, and
treatment. Once classroom segment is complete, the Firefighters will perform hands on scenarios
utilizing medical equipment on live victims and dummies. Firefighters will receive eight hours of
CEUs toward recertification hours

Your Instructor

Jared Robison, Gordon County FD

Jared Robison is an 18 year veteran of the fire service. Beginning his career as a volunteer
firefighter. Jared was hired in early 2006 as a Firefighter at Gordon County Fire Rescue and has
promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Jared has an extensive background in education as well as
training. He has obtained his Fire Science Diploma through Georgia Northwestern Technical
College, State Office of EMS EMT-Intermediate, is a Georgia FLAMES graduate, Adjunct
Instructor for the Georgia Fire Academy, and serves as a Lead Instructor at Gordon County Fire
Rescue. He is the found/owner operator for Elite Fire Training.
