Down and Dirty FF Survivable

Students will learn techniques to aid them in the event of a fire ground emergency. Students will learn methods of self rescue and the rescue of fellow firefighters. Some topics covered will be emergency bailouts, ladder placement for RIT operations, sub floor firefighter rescue, and removing down firefighters from the structures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Bunker gear, helmet, gloves, air pack

INSTRUCTOR: Robbie Townsend is a Lieutenant with the City of Dalton (GA) Fire Department and is assigned to Ladder Company 3. Robbie has 18 years on the job. He was previously employed by the City of Marietta (GA) Fire Department where he was assigned to a heavy rescue company. Robbie is an instructor with the Georgia Smoke Diver program, lead instructor of Dalton FD's RIT program, and a H.O.T. instructor at FDIC.
