Modern Fire Dynamics
Understanding modern fire dynamics and the impact they have on fire ground operations is crucial to the safety of crews operating on the fire ground. The ability to read smoke conditions, gauge the impact of ventilation openings, and properly apply water are necessary skills for aggressive firefighting. In this class students will begin by burning various construction materials to gain a better understanding of fire dynamics. During the remainder of class, students will experience and practice the application of aggressive firefighting tactics in a live fire environment.
